Société des Ciments Libanais S.A.L. — CEMLEB (formerly known as Holcim (Liban) S.A.L.) announces that the official exploitation licence has been issued by the competent ministries and administrative authorities, allowing the company to resume the extraction of the raw materials required to manufacture and sell cement, in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 8803/2002 and its amendments. The company extends its thanks to the relevant official authorities and to all the administrative bodies that contributed to the issuance of the exploitation licence. CEMLEB confirms that the next phase will be conducted through an approach based on full compliance with the applicable laws and regulations, and on adopting best practices in occupational safety, environmental protection and the responsible management of resources, in line with the requirements of sustainable development.
